Do people make emotional connections to Shakespeare's work. I dont seem to be able to make these type of connections maybe that is because i am not that much of an emotional person or maybe your not suppossed to make emotional connections. who knows what Shakespeare actually intended with his stories. that would be a great thing to know, which is what went on inside the mind of Shakespeare. It would be cool to hear the stories we are reading in class from his perspective. Maybe we are interpreting the stories completely wrong. Maybe there is a hidden message that he put in each of his boks that led to someting greater because he was good a hidding little motifs within his poems or plpays if you will.

Well that is what i am interested in because i always want to know what an unique celebrity if you will, was like when they were younger. He has a unique way to convey the readers' emotions with his smart and suave choice of words. He is an expert at knowing how to touch people's hearts without physically being there. What amzes me is how he has written in such a unique way that people are still analyzing his work to this very day. Not just any quthor obtains this type of attention yet even have attention close to Shakespeare for so long.

For my group’s chemistry project, we decided to do it on the pollution of places we go. We plan on going to four different places to test air pollution, a house, an auto-mechanic’s garage, a nail salon, and a school. We plan on doing three trials of each place. To test the air pollution of these places, we are going to use a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer. The gas chromatograph mass spectrometer separates chemical mixtures (the gas chromatograph component) and identifies the components at a molecular level (the mass spectrometer component). It is one of the most accurate tools for analyzing environmental samples such as air pollution (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS)). The gas chromatograph separates chemicals based on their ease with which they evaporate into a gas. The Mass spectrometer is used to identify chemicals based on their structure

After Bill Clinton’s presidency he continued to show his passion for helping others. He created the William J. Clinton Foundation whose mission is to “strengthen the capacity of people in the U.S. and throughout the world to meet challenges of global interdependence” (O’Brien). One of their main focuses is to find a cure and provide aid to those with HIV/AIDS. He also created a funding program with George Bush that helped raise money for those suffering from Katrina and those dealing with the damages caused by the South Asian Tsunami in 2004. Clinton has been recognized by the United Nations for his unparalleled effort in fund raising for natural disasters (O’Brien). Hopefully the positive changes Clinton is making in some of those lives in need can change his not-so-great image he had created for himself after his presidency.

Also Clinton felt as if the nation’s prosperity as a whole had not reached the whole country. The country may have seemed prosperous but there were still many places that had seemed left out of the process. So he proposed that there should be new businesses started or moved to these areas so that the poor or less fortunate may work. In the year 2000 the internet was becoming a lot more easily accessible to a large audience. In order to move forward towards the future of the world Clinton realized that everyone should be connected to the internet and the best way to start this “revolution” is to start in the schools. Not only would schools be connected but they would also have the possibility to provide a better education to their students. In Bill Clinton’s State of the Union address Clinton showed that, even with the country’s great strength, he would not like to put the brakes on the movement to the future. A president who is active-negative usually is ambitious, power seeking, and looks forward (Barber). Bill Clinton has shown a great deal of optimism in his speeches to the nation called the State of the Union. In his State of the Union address in 2000 he pointed out many of the highlights from the past year of his presidency which includes the great economic growth, the increase in the number of new jobs, and the lowest unemployment rate. Yet he still saw a nation that could be better and he sought out a higher expectation from his nation. Even though unemployment was low, the salaries between men and women were not equal. Clinton demanded the end to sexism in the workplace.

Plus a cone gets slimmer towards the end which would slim down the surface area. A pyramid could also be a possible shape because it too has a slimmed down looked to it which decreases the amount of surface area.
There are many other factors that could affect the shape container that is chosen. The size of the shelf that they would be store on would be a factor because maybe it would be easier to fit more cubes onto a small shelf than cylinders.
The reason why a company would not always pick the shape that is the most optimal is because they have to think about the customer first. If spheres were used it would be extremely difficult to store them on shelves and even homes. If someone is using a sphere container of tomato sauce, it would be likely that the tomato sauce would spill because of it rolling everywhere. Sometimes the cheapest idea is not the best idea.

According to the “Argonne National Laboratory” the best shape for packaging is a sphere. So we did some calculations of our own using the given volume. We were surprised by the large difference in the amount of surface area between the sphere and the cylinder. The lowest amount of surface area for the cylinder was 349 with a 4.5 radius. The sphere while holding the same amount of liquid only had a surface area of 304. Our other shape we researched, the cube, had the highest amount of surface area with 378. The cylinder is the typical shape a container would be. The only problem is that there are many factors that go into the size of the cylinder. Depending on the type of container the radius of the cylinder would limit the size and available volume. For instance you wouldn’t want to drink out of a container that has a 8cm radius because the opening of that container is likely to be big. Yet they are easy to hold and take up less packaging space. The cube is just a big mess when it comes to liquid packaging. It would cost a lot of money to cover the materials for the packaging because it has by far the largest amount of surface area. The only benefit is that it is really easy to store on a shelf. The best shape to use is the sphere. It can hold a large amount of volume while maintaining the least amount of surface area. Journal 23 anyone else excited about this NBA season because I know I am? This year is going to be so exciting. Especially for the completely renovated Miami Heat because of their additions of Lebron James and Chris Bosh. A lot of people think that they will win the NBA championship because the team is completely loaded with talent but I think that they won’t. In my mind I believe that the Los Angeles Lakers are still the best team in NBA. I mean they just won the NBA championship two times in a row! I honestly believe that they have the ability to win it again which hasn’t been done in a long time. Will there be another team on the rise this season? The Oklahoma City Thunder seem to be coming back this season with maturity and power. The shocked the NBA world last season as they gave the Lakers a hard time in the playoffs. But as everyone predicted the Lakers prevailed and won the championship. The team I want to keep a close eye on is the Denver Nuggets. Carmelo Anthony is my favorite player in the NBA and he might get traded to a new team before the half way mark of the season. I really don’t want him to get traded because he has a good contending team in Denver. They just need to learn how to win in the post season. With the season getting under way this week I’m pumped to see what happens.

If I had to describe the meaning of character, I would say that it is someone’s moral standards. I have always felt that I have high moral standards because I have been raised to do the right thing at all times though it might get me into trouble. It’s never better to make wrong choices. I am a very honest and loyal person that is very committed to achieving my goals. In class I am an energetic learner and I love to interact with my peers. I feel having a positive attitude or character is the best way to learn and interact with others. Some people describe the world as being divided into two groups of people, those who lead and those who follow. Yet when people refer to that statement they think of leadership as being a hierarchal position when it really is not. Being a leader is being that person who lifts up others’ spirits when they are down, a leader helps others in need, and a leader is one who is not afraid to step up to a challenge when others do not. I have displayed qualities of a leader in my first year of being a high school student. I was the team captain of my basketball team where my role was to be able to communicate and help lead my team to victory. Helping out by volunteering for your community is essential, in my opinion, to life. Where ever or whoever that community is, it’s always great to do your part to help out. It helps to develop a lifelong bond between you and the service that you did and it also builds character. Though I am a supporter of working the community, the past year I was not as involved as I would have like to have been due to a heavy travel AAU basketball schedule. Over the summer I was very busy traveling, practicing, and playing with my basketball team. From this experience I have learned that the summer time isn’t the only time where I can do community service. During the school year I plan to be involved in performing various services through the Reston Association to help better my community and balance with my other commitments I have during the summer. I also plan to participate in the Readers are Leaders program with the South Lakes Basketball program. This is something will I commit to in order to achieve my goals for community service.

Poetry Out Loud was a great experience during the year to get myself acquainted with poetry. The poem that i chose for my Poetry Out Loud project is one that once I read it created a continueous pondering within my mind. The name of the poen is "I Close My Eyes" and it is written by David Ignatow. The poem is only 10 lines but those 10 lines are so powerful the meaning of the poem drastically outlasts the length of the poem. Ignatow's poem describes the ordinary daily life of an urban person. He says he does the same thing everyday. He says he does the same thing everyday. He goes to work and comes home at the same times on the same train to get home on time for dinner everyday. Basically Ignatow is saying that he does everything right and on time plus he is a a good model citizen. Yet it is the last sentence of the poem that completely changes the reader's and my view of the poem. DAvid Ignatow asks "Why cant I live forever?" Once I read that question I began to muse on the purpose of the poem. Then I realized that he is saying as humans once we do something good we expect a reward.
